The Aquatic Chemistry Lab @ Texas A&M studies the fundamental chemistry of natural and engineered systems. We are interested in projects that seek a mechanistic understanding of the physical and chemical fate of organic compounds in the environment. Our group applies chemical principles and advanced instrumentation to study aquatic chemistry. We are currently working on projects related to the environmental fate of pyrogenic dissolved organic matter, photochemical treatment technologies for hazardous chemicals such as PFAS, and aquatic DOM photochemical and photophysical properties. A full list of group publications can be found at Garrett's Google Scholar page.
